How to Purchase a Firearms Online?
Buying a firearm online has never been easier and offers our customers the freedom to shop from anywhere and a great selection of firearms to choose from at a fair price. It’s simple, secure, safe, and 100% legal. Buying online is pickup at your favorite FFL facilitates a convenient transfer of your firearm. You can think of an FFL transfer like an “in-store pickup.”
Step 1: Choose Your Firearm
Cowtown Firearms features over thousands of unique products for you to choose. You can easily search with keywords, Universal Product Codes (UPCs), or browse via categories. Once you locate the product(s) that you wish to buy, add them to your cart.
Step 2: Choose Your (Federal Firearms Licensee) FFL
Our site features an easy search function to find your preferred FFL. Our contains all FFLs listed with the ATF so you’re likely to find your favorite local dealer. Please contact your FFL to inform them your Cowtown Firearms purchase is being shipped to them
Step 3: Enter Payment Information
Cowtown Firearms offers a no-fee credit card payment option. Simple enter your credit card information and submit.
Step 4: Picking Up Your Firearm
Once notified by the shipping carrier that your firearm has arrived, call your FFL to confirm. After you arrive at the FFL, you will complete the following process:
- You will fill out the ATF Form 4473 in its entirety.
- The FFL conducts an instant background check through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) with the FBI.
- Once you pass the background check, you take possession of your new firearm.
Firearms will ONLY ship to an FFL holder. If you do not have an FFL, then you must find one in your area to handle the transfer for you. If we have to send a return shipping label to get an item back from the FFL for any reason (you not passing background check, FFL refusing to do the transfer, you changed your mind, etc), we will deduct the return shipping charges from your refund.
